You're going through a difficult time. you feel like no one would understand so you keep it all in. sometimes it can be a heavy load to carry
What if there was a place where you could let it all out and be with others who get it?
Well GROUP THERAPY is that kind of place
Group therapy allows for connection and collaboration with others and for opportunities of sharing and support. This type of therapy can help to normalize what you're going through and lets you know that you're not alone, that you're not the only one going through something. Groups are a safe and supportive space where you can address your concerns and in turn receive feedback and validation.
Groups at The Psychology Center of Russellville may involve 4-10 individuals, and meet for an hour or two usually on a weekly basis. They may involve the processing of emotions, experiences and choices. They may include educational components and can involve learning new skills to help you navigate your current situation. The groups may be open or closed and may run on an ongoing basis or for a specific number of sessions. Ongoing groups involve members starting at varying times as openings become available when other members complete the group. In closed groups, new members are usually not allowed to join after the group begins The members will complete the group together and usually attend for a specific amount of time
